All of the links featured on this page will open into another window. By plane (to Exeter) Exeter airport has many national and international flights. By train (to Honiton or Exeter) or coach (to Exeter) Unfortuantely Sidmouth no longer has a working railway line but that doesn't mean you cannot come to Devon on the train! The nearest stations are Honiton or Exeter. There is a local bus service from Honiton train station to Sidmouth and the service does pass by the apartment. For more information regarding this service and other local bus services please visit www.stagecoachbus.com For information regarding National Express services to Exeter please visit www.nationalexpress.com By automobile (to Sidmouth) Sidmouth is situated on the B3176 and A375 If you are travelling south using the M5 1) Exit at junction 30 of the M5 (signposted Exeter, Exmouth, Sidmouth) 2) Turn left at the roundabout (1st exit signposted Sidmouth and Exmouth) 3) Take the 2nd exit at the next roundabout (signposted Sidmouth) 4) Follow this road through Clyst St Mary (approx 1 mile from the M5) 5) Continue on this road and you will pass the Halfway Inn on your left (approx 5.5 miles from the M5) 6) The road will take you over Aylesbeare Common and into Newton Poppleford (approx 7 miles from the M5) 7) At the mini roundabout continue forward following the High Street through Newton Poppleford and up a hill 8) Turn right at the Bowd Inn (signposted Sidmouth) follow the road to the seafront and town centre If you are travelling north using the M5 1) Exit at junction 30 of the M5 (signposted Exeter, Exmouth, Sidmouth) 2) Turn right at the roundabout (4th exit signposted Sidmouth and Exmouth) 3) - 8) as above If you are travelling south using the A303/30 1) Exit at Honiton (Turks Head) 2) Turn left at the T junction (signposted Sidmouth) 3) At roundabout turn right (2nd exit signposted Sidmouth) 4) At the mini roundabout bear right on to the Sidmouth Road A375 5) At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the Sidmouth Road A375 6) Follow this road through Sidbury (approx 5 miles from Honiton) 7) Continue on this road to Sidford Cross (approx 7 miles from Honiton) 8) At Sidford Cross turn left and then right (signposted Sidmouth town centre) follow the road to the seafront and town centre If you are travelling south using the A35 1) Exit at Axminster turning right off of the A35 (signposted Seaton A358) 2) Turn left at the T junction 3) Follow this road through Musbury 4) At Boshill Cross turn right (signposted Exeter A3052) 5) Continue on this road through Colyford 6) At Sidford Cross traffic lights turn left (signposted Sidmouth) follow the road to the seafront and town centre |
